Overview
Godaddy has opted not to renew our partnership, which means the mobile sites on their servers will become inactive on. In the meantime, you can transfer your site to DudaMobile directly so that you can continue using it.
Transferring your site
GoDaddy will have sent you an email with a link that allows you to move your mobile site to DudaMobile by creating an account. If they haven't, or if the link doesn't work, we recommend contacting our support at support@duda.co so that we can get you the link.
Customizing your URL
GoDaddy automatically provided you with a mobile.yourdomain.com URL. Unfortunately, this will become inactive when they take the sites down, so you'll need to create a new custom URL. We have a guide to this process specific to GoDaddy you can see in our guide to setting up the CNAME record with GoDaddy. Installing the redirect
Once you've customized your URL, you'll want to set up a redirect script in your original non-mobile site. We have instructions on how to do this in our general redirect guide, as well as more specific instructions for GoDaddy's website builder and GoDaddy's FTP manager.
Disabling the GoDaddy mobile site
Once you've gotten your site transferred and your custom domain and redirect set up, you'll want to disable the GoDaddy site. You can do so by following GoDaddy's instructions, specifically:
- Log in to your Account Manager.
- Click Web Hosting.
- Next to the hosting account you want to use, click Launch.
- Click Mobile Website.
- Click Turn Off Mobile.
