Sitewide 404

I have had this mobile only site running successfully for several years for my client. I have recently been informed that all the web links, other than the home page generate 404s.

Logging into the account it seems ALL the pages (and their content) are no longer there, and Im left with a 404 screens site wide. It would also seem the URL has been updated which I have no idea why.

The mobile only duda website is m.aapindustries.com.au and desktop (html only) is aapindustries.com.au

Im getting errors like the attached when trying to navigate the editor. dmpagenoutfound

When looking at the knowledge base Im finding parralells between my issue and this one

https://dudamobilesupport.duda.co/hc/en-us/community/posts/360044003794-Duda-Sent-me-Here-Because-They-Suck-Ass

However when looking at the HOME page setting its showing a page converted from http://www.aapindustries.com.au of which like the other poster, was not really great so it was built from scratch anyway, however the settings dont reflect that.

All other pages are are built from scratch and do reflect this in each of the page settings. catalogues, certifications, locate us, contact etc

About 2 years ago the desktop site went to SSL and there has been no issue with the mobile only site. I only needed to tweak the code on the html desktop site.

So the html desktop site is working fine, albeit being https://www.aapindustries.com.au and not http

Restoring from backup does nothing to fix in the issue.

There is a lot of time spent in the site with over 60 links to certifications and catalogues so re-building is not an option.

How can the site get back all the page content we had previously and function correctly. Its one thing to have 404, but another thing to not even see all the page content.

The URLs to all pages have all changed also, which is incorrect.

/mb/site/aapindustries/catalogues

You mentioned resetting in the previous post, but that removes all the content and starts again, which is not really a viable path.

Can you please assist.

Thanks in advance,

    Hi,

Sorry to hear about the troubles with DM site.

A page in editor that I added is returning a 404 message / site is not available message

If the page your mobile website is linked to is bringing you to a 404 message/site not found message in your browser, it means that link is no longer valid.

    There are two ways to go about fixing this issue. You can do either of the following;

    • If you want to save your changes, you can turn off auto sync for the site. To do this, first go to the page you want to turn off auto sync for. Once there, click SEO & page settings. After you've done that, turn off the box that says always auto sync. Hit done, then refresh your editor.
    • If that doesn't fix it or you want to fix the linking of the site, simply delete the page and create a new one. When asked for which page to create, select Page URL and paste in the correct URL that you want the mobile site to convert from.

If that also doesn't work, simply create a basic page instead in your editor (not linked to a desktop page).

    Hope that helps,

    Hi Paola,

So while I awaited with no response for you guys my client was extremely frustrated (at a broken site) and I basically had to build all the pages again.

    This was 2 weeks ago.

This was at my cost and time.

Now with your reply (weeks later), you seem to have fixed the issue duda had caused (with only 1 page remaining from the original setup, as I had to create all the new pages) and it works.

Clearly something was wrong in the background and youve finally caught up internally with this ongoing issue which ive been communicating here also.

Very frustrated, disappointed in duda. But you're alway happy to take my yearly fees right.
